Course Description

The course follows the book Ideals, Varieties, and Algorithms: An Introduction to Computational Algebraic Geometry and Commutative Algebra by David Cox, John Little and Donal O'Shea.

Tuesday and Thursday 14:00 - 15:30 in Room C 411.

Grading

Homework, midterm test and final test count 50%, 20% and 30% towards the grade for the course, respectively. The homework grade is 10*(number of credits obtained)/(maximum possible number of credits), rounded to the nearest integer.
